Mark brings his entrepreneurial career in renewable and clean energy to MaxGen Energy Services, where his leadership and creative thinking for new business opportunities will develop the future of the Company.
Mark is the CEO of MaxGen, which was acquired by Oaktree Corporation in 2015. Prior to MaxGen, he held the position of President of Global Services for SunEdison. Global Services provides comprehensive Asset Management and O&M services to PV owners around the world. He drove a profitable turnaround of the business from 2012 to 2014 and managed a global staff of 400 with $100M+ of annual services revenue. During that time, he integrated various large acquisitions and third-party projects into a portfolio of 2,000 PV assets (6GW) in 20 countries generating energy revenue of $1.7B annually, while driving down the cost to serve by 35% and increasing portfolio production.
Mark was one of the original founders of the solar development company, Renewable Ventures in 2005, which became FRV US and was acquired by SunEdison in the third quarter of 2011. He was responsible for sourcing, negotiation, and closing external solar project opportunities for the company to complement internal development activities.
Previously, Mark was at Gap Inc. for several years in corporate finance. Prior to that, he was on the EMEA financial planning team for Compaq Computer in Munich, Germany.
